Granquist Is recovering recover-ing from an appendectomy she underwent Monday morning at St. Mark's hospital. Maisie Lee of Escalante, Utah, is visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Ivie Jr. Dr. and Airs. H. C. Jenkins were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elliott W. Evans Friday evening. Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Culver of Berkeley, Calif., were guests Sunday of Dr. and Mrs. H. C Jenkins. Mrs. Culver is remembered remem-bered here as Lillian Hogan Jensen. Mrs. H. M. Stark of Wilmington, Wilming-ton, Dela., who is the former Miss Helen Candland, a speech and English teacher at Bingham high school for a number of years, arrived ar-rived Tuesday evening to visit several days with Miss Margaret Ireland. Mrs. Stark was a luncheon lunch-eon guest of Mrs. David C, Lyon Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Potter and son, Francis Voulare, who have been at the Copper hotel the past month, left Wednesday to make their home at Elko, Nev. "Mr. and Mrs. Don Stuart and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Reeves, all of Fillmore, spent Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Aimer A. Berg and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Turner. Michael Ivie, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Ivie Jr., will celebrate his birthday this afternoon at a party to be given at 1:30 o'clock at the Ivie home. Invitations have been sent the following young friends of Michael: Mich-ael: Rex and Elva Kay Turner; Richard Booth, Vanda Adams, Corky Pollock, Kathy Zampos and Kay Lou Cook. Individual birthday cakes with candles and ice cream will be served. Charles Baum of Detroit, Mich., arrived Tuesday to visit a week with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alger Baum of Lead Mine. Bruce Johnston, who has spent! the past three weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Johnston, and' cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Johnston, left Wednesday Wednes-day evening for Vancouver, Wash., where he will reenter the Barnes army hospital. Mrs. Frank Kascek had as her guests over the week-end the Rev. Vital Vodusek and Tony Fabian Fa-bian from San Francisco; The Rev. Alb'n Gi"dovec o" Rock Springs, Wyo. The Rev. Vodusek served Mass at Highland Boy Sunday. A delicious luncheon was served the guests at noon Monday. In the evening Father Vodusek had -devotions at the Holy Rosary Catholic church. Burr ess represented the Tenth precinct at the Republican Repub-lican county convention in Salt Lake City Saturday. Mr. Southwell South-well was elected treasurer of the county, organization. F. Henri Henroid of Salt Lake City was named county chairman; Fred Finlayson of Salt Lake City, secretary; sec-retary; Mrs. Henry Walker of South Salt Lake and Mrs. Albert L. Mrs. Ray Tatton underwent a tonsillectomy at Bingham hospital Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kalipetsis of St. Joe Mine, Angelo Georgakis of Lark, Mr. and Mrs. George Kastanis of West Jordan and Mr. and Mrs. George Pappasideris were Sunday dinner guests of Mr .and Mrs. George Panos. Jay S. Rasmussen, recently selected se-lected for service, is receiving training at Fort Warren, Cheyenne, Chey-enne, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
