I I Magleby Brothers I I Star in Athletics in-Athletics A A Ai At t i 4 II I I I I I RUSSELL MAGLEBY heft left and MAGLEBY Although it has been the local athletes who have gained the mast recognition in scholastic athletic sports in the past few years there are nevertheless numerous lads in inthe inthe inthe the southern part of the tho state stata who really deserve Recognition Among these are Russ Russell ll and McKay Magleby Magle Magle- by of the Monroe High school These two lads lada have almost individually individually individually indi indi- brought Monroe its honors in athletics this season In football both played halfback on the Monroe team which vied with East West and Payson for the state championship cham cham- In basketball they were the outstanding players player'S on the Monroe team which finished second in its loop although making the best showing of the year Russell was the outstanding guard of the league His defensive work as well as his ability at dribbling and handling the ball made his record McKay was the scoring genius of the team making points during the season or an average of twentysix twenty- twenty six and one-half one points per game In spring sports both promise to todo todo todo do equally well and should even make stronger their athletic record which they will probably carry into college
