The bride is the former Miss Janice Marie Hayden, a daughter of Mrs. Lot-ti- p L. Hayden of Murray and the late Mitchell Hayden. Mr. De-Mar-is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe DeMarco of Bingham. Mrs. Hayden entertained mem-bers of the two families at a wedding supper Tuesday even-ing. JK Rebakahi Plan Spacial Evantt Ruth Rebekah lodge No. 7, I.O.O.F., held their regular meet-ing Tuesday evening at the Ma-sonic hall. Plans were made for Memorial services at Bingham cemetery last evening with Mrs. Joseph Tome as chairman, fol-lowing which the group, number-ing 18, attended the district as-sociation meeting at Sandy for annual election of officers. June 16, supper was served 24 members at one long table light-ed with ivory tapers and center-ed with a low bowl of pansies. Mrs. Joseph Jensen and Mrs. Grant Hodges were hostesses. Draw prizes went to Mrs. J. D. Laycock, Mrs. Charles Brimhall and Mrs. John Stanoway. The Rebekahs plan a cake sale in Bingham on June 25. The mem-bers plan to visit the Park City lodge on June 23. A special meet-ing of the Rebekahs has been called for 10:00 a.m. July 7. X Showar Saturday Mrs. Lenore Andreason, Mrs. Axel'Sybrowsky and Mrs. H. Smernoff were hosts Saturday evening at a delightful shower given at the Sybrowsky home in compliment to Mrs. R. W. Sum-nich- t. The 32 guests enjoyed Monte Carlo whist, prizes going to Mrs. J. A. Trevarthen and Mrs. Louis Buchman won war savings stamps at the draw-ing. if Eaglci Auxiliary Plans Luncheon Wives of Eagles from Tooele, Murray and Salt Lake City, ex-pected to arrive in Bingham Canyon Saturday for the Utah State Eagles convention, will be entertained at a one o'clock lun-cheon and Monte Carlo whist party arranged by the auxiliary to the F.O-E.- , aerie No. 659. In charge of the social will be Mrs. J. J. Doyle, luncheon, and Mrs. Peter Smith, entertainment. The committee met the after-noon of June 11 at the home of Mrs. E. E. Longfellow to perfect plans. Those present later play-ed bridge, prizes going to Mrs. II. Smernoff, Mrs. Verl Peterson ,nd Mrs. Doyle. Books of the auxiliary were audited and refreshments served to eight. ' Surprise Party For Mary Lou Lyon The sixteenth birthday of Mary Lou Lyon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David C. Lyon, was occas-ion for a delightful surprise par-ty at her home Wednesday eveni-ng- Mrs. Lyon was assisted in arrangements by Mrs. Lyman Otteson, Mary Goris and Connie Kuhni. War savings stamps were giv-en as prizes for games played. Midnight supper was served at one long, attractively-arrange- d table. The lovely birthday cake, lighted with 16 candles, was cen-terpiece. Ivory tapers filled crys-tal candelabra at each side. Arrangements for a lovely birth-day cuke and gifts were made by Mrs. Verl Peterson and Mrs. Peter Smith. Bridge was played and a late supper served. EARLY SUMMER APPLES WILL BE GOOD IN THIS "SAVE SUGAR" RECIPE Applesauce Muffing , i cup shortening V cup sugar 4 cup corn sirup 2 eggs cup applesauce 2 cups sifted flour 3 teaspoons baking powder Vi teaspoon salt 1 cup chopped nuts Cream shortening and sugar together. Add corn sirup and beat well. Add beaten eggs. Add applesauce. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to creamed mixture, stirring only enough to moisten flour. Add nuts. Bake in greased muf-fin pans in moderate oven (375 degrees F) 20 to 25 minutes.
