Rogers entertained at bridge Thursday, August 6 for Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen. Other Oth-er guests were Mrs. Hardy Odell and Mrs. Wayne Hansen. The group presented Mrs. Knudsen with a birthday gift and Mrs. Hansen won the bridge prize. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Feraco and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Delia-Lucia, and John Feraco enjoyed a picnic pic-nic luncheon at City Creek canyon can-yon before going to Lagoon Tuesday. Lovtly Wadding Event of August 12 Miss Helen Catherine Cotter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Mau-rice A. Cotter, became the bride of Burke Leland Gephart of Santa San-ta Monica, Calif., in a ceremony solemnized by Dr. Herbert W. Reherd at 6:30 o'clock Wednesday Wednes-day evening in the First Presbyterian Pres-byterian church. The lovely blonde bride wore a gown of white satin fashioned with net yoke and a sweeping train. Her fingertip veil of illusion illus-ion fell from a halo headdress. Her bouquet was of orchids and stephanotis. Attendants were Miss Sue Schiffgen, maid of honor, Mrs. Jack Latimer, matron of honor, and Miss Jean Frazier, Miss E-laine E-laine Gephart, Miss Adiene Hudson Hud-son and Miss Lorraine Caulfield. They wore identical models of ivory taffeta, small hats of bronze velvet and carried chrysanthemums chrys-anthemums in shades of bronze and yellow. Robert Steele was best man. Ushers were P. B. Ford, Howard Buchman and Mr. Latimer. A reception followed at the Jade room of the Hotel Utah. The couple left late in the evening even-ing for a honeymoon at Lake Ta-hoe Ta-hoe and San Francisco. They will make their home in Santa Monica. Moni-ca. Mr. Gephart is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Gephart of Tremonton. of Garfield. In the evening they enjoyed a picnic and outing at Saltair. L. Durnford and son, Arthur, and daughter, Mrs. Edd Barnett, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Long and Mr. and Mrs. Joe A. Frisch of Bingham enjoyed a delightful outing at Black Rock Sunday. . Miss Darlene Nix is now employed em-ployed in the same office as hef sister, Miss Norma Nix, who has worked for some time at the district dis-trict engineers office, War Department, De-partment, in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Haus-knecht Haus-knecht and children left Wednesday Wed-nesday morning to spend several days at Mirror lake. Mr. and Mrs. Joel P. Jensen enjoyed dinner at the Hotel Utah the evening of August 6 and then attended a show. The occasion was Mrs. Jensen's birthday. Mrs. Sam Baird of Salt Lake City spent several days this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Jensen. . Mr. and Mrs. T. H.
