E Kimball 67 prominent Salt Lake business man who died at his home 1283 East South Temple street Thursday night after an illness of six weeks Mr Kimball was born in Monticello Monticello Monti- Monti cello Iowa November 7 1864 He came west when a young man and settled set tied lIed in Omaha Neb where he was associated with the Union Pacific railroad He remained in Omaha unil until un un- til il 1897 when he was transferred to Salt Lake and was employed in the assistant treasurers treasurer's office of the Oregon Oregon Ore Ore Ore- gon Short Line railroad Leaving Leavine the railroad shortly after he came to Salt Lake Mr Kimball moved to Elko Nev Nov where he became became became be be- came a stock raiser and banker He later became president of the First National bank of Elko and had large arge sheep and cattle holdings Returning to Salt Lake ten years ago igo he became president and manager manager man man- ager of the Utah Fire Clay company a position which he held at the time of his death He also was a director in n the First National bank of Salt Lake and the First Security Trust company Mr Kimball KimbaIl was a member of the Rotary Notary Alta AHa and Country clubs and Wasatch lodge No 1 I F F.
