C Hatch prominent lawyer of Heber City died at his home here early this morning after iter a lingering illness of several months He was 75 years of age Mr Hatch was born at Lehl Lehi Utah December 14 14 1856 son of Abram Hatch and md Permelia Jane Lott LoU Hatch With his parents he later moved to Heber Cit City where he spent most of ot his life At the age of 20 he engaged in the horse and md cattle business in Uintah and Wasatch coun i ties He built the first telephone line into this county participated In the or organization of ot Heber City and had been interested in the mining industry in this county being the president of several cral corporations He was for many years a member lor of the thc city council oL of Heber also a justice of oC the peace and nd for one term served as county attorney In n 1893 1893 he was elected to represent Grand I Emery and Wasatch counties in the territorial legislature serving for two years rears He Hc was admitted to practice in to the supreme court in 1894 and was appointed judge of ot the Fourth judi judt judicial cial district of oC Utah including Utah Uintah and Wasatch counties in 1896 In 1900 he was elected to the same position His first wife died In 1919 and he was wn married to Elizabeth Nelson in 1920 He is survived by his wife wHet three children Henry Ra Ray of Idaho Falls Idaho Sumner of ot Heber and I Kate Murdock Funeral services will wilt be held at p. p m. m Saturday In the |
