BEST OF THE BUDGET BUDGETS S like a gem among a a- a blur of figures in the municipal budget for the coming corning year Is a modest little item that is positively fascinating in its appeal It Is the best thing in the whole budget- budget that Is it is the most welcome item that could possibly be included It is an accepted appropriation for a new police ambulance Nothing that the commissioners could present to Salt Lake as a Christmas present could be more acceptable Nothing in the coming year will wUI arrive with greater grace or glory than a new ambulance Not that the appropriation for it is of outstanding pr pro pro pro- portions It is to be a modest vehicle built for the purpose of utility and in no way a joy- joy wagon It is not to be that ornate But what makes this item in the budget so delightfully attractive is the fact that the new nevi ambulance is to io r replace place the wheezy re reluctant reluctant reluctant re- re old juggernaut that has too long coughed and sputtered Its protesting way over city streets always late In starting and always late in reaching its destination upon call If the new city administration does no nomore nomore nomore more than give to Salt Lake a new ambulance ambulance ambulance lance it will have accomplished much It has long been needed because the old one has been an eyesore a rambling rickety rumbling rumbling rum ruIn bling chariot that always gave the police pollee department de department department de- de a bad name
