Show PODLTRY SHOW. 1 The UUh Poultry Atsoetatloa'i As uuil ExliibUioa. Tile fourth annual show of the Utah Poultry Association will be held in 6gden in February next, from the Uh to the 6tb, inclusive. The third annual display was held in this cltyayear ago, and was very satisfactory In nil respects. The coming show, however, promises to far eclipse any of its r redeccssore. The following circular to tho poultry fraternity was issueJ recently. We Invite all lovers and breeders of the feather tribe to give us the attendance of yourself and birds at the fourth annual show ot the Utah poultry association, to be held In Ogden City, February ! to 5, 1601. We promise you that each and every bird will be scored on Its merits without regard to tils owner. It Is a well known fact that there exists a feeling among the small breeders thit they stand no chance of winning win-ning againat the larger and well-known well-known breeders, and aUo tint a great many refuse to send their stock to a poultry show because they cannot attend personally to loo after their blrJ-. We will state that all specimens will be properly cared for and all scoring will Lw done in full view of the exhibitors and others; that they will be properly prop-erly handled and scored strictly on their merits by Prof. T. W. Hitchcock, Hitch-cock, of Greenleaf, Kansas. The gentleman is a well kno rn breeder nnd judge of natioual reputation, and with his experience and fairness be cannot fail to give satisfaction. Send your fowls, get them scored, then you have a living standard with which ou can judge your othen, fowls, see where the defects are and guard against them in future matinee. This alone 13 worth more than all the trouble and cxpuse you will be put to, to say nothing of the increased value uf n bird with a score card. We have madethete shows an annual tiling a high school of instruction, where the breeder can come acd compare his birds with others, and learn more in one day than he could by learning tho standard by heart. Give uj your attendance and support, and wo promise you will not regret it. The prem'um list will soon be issued. All parties wishing a list may get one by sending In their names to Mr. J. I. Rash, H. W. Earl, or the Utah AgnaiUuritt, Salt Lake City, or W.-W. Browning, Ogden. |
