Show JORDAN SCHOOL DISTRICT PUPILS HOLD MUSIC MEET Last Friday 25 music students of Faculty Members Joel P. Jensen Jen-sen of Bingham high and LaVern J. Dickson of the Bingham junior high competed . with pupils of Jordan high school and junior high schools of the district at the annual music festival held at Sandy. Representation from this district was smaller than in other years because' of the difficulties of transportation. The local entrants were judged "highly superior" first division; or "superior" second division. Those representing Bingham and their ratings were: Senior high, vocalists Betty Lou Houghton, first division; Rhea Lou Olsen Wilcox, first di vision minus; Shirley Parkin, first division; Jena Vee Olsen, second division; Beverly Anderson, Ander-son, second division; girls' trio, Beverly Nix, Jena Vee Olsen, Shirley Parkin, first division; Junior high, vocalists Ralph Siddoway, first division; Maurine Morley, 'second division plus; Instrumental Jack Knudsen, cornet, first division plus; Kath-ryn Kath-ryn King, clarinet,, second division; divis-ion; Karl Hoimann, baritone horn, second division; Davie Famsworth, saxophone, first division; di-vision; Joyce Hansen, flute, first division; Maxine Franks, French horn, second division; Cornet trio, Howard Hausknecht, Haus-knecht, Karl Hofmann, Jack Knudsen, first division; clarinet quartet, Beverly Anderson, Melba Mel-ba Ottosen, Fay Apostal, Colleen Robison, second division; Piano Shirley Parkin, first division; Jacqueline Barlow, first division minus; Mary Sorenson, second division. |
