Show Highland Boy Marie Atgelio : Culvin Miller returned home Sunday following a short visit with his mother in Butte, Mont. Madelene Mayo is visiting her sister, Mrs. Frances Bruner, in Salt Lake City. Miss Alice Brown and Miss Marie Ma-rie Button of the Highland Boy Community House are attending the annual conference of the Methodist Me-thodist church in Salt Lake City. Mike Gerbich left Tuesday for a visit of indefinite length in Hiawatha Hia-watha with friends and relatives- Keith Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold R. Barton, plans to leave soon to visit his grandparents. grandpar-ents. Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Braith-waite Braith-waite of Arco, Idaho. Louie Scorzato, who was injured injur-ed while, at 'work, has returned home. He is reported as m an improved condition. Mrs. Helen Vranes, in company Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Jeffcott and daughters, Helen and Virginia, Vir-ginia, attended a birthday party at Liberty park Sunday in honor of Mrs. Sid Tregaskis, a former resident of Highland Boy. A picnic pic-nic lunch was served to approximately approxi-mately 50 guests. Softball and boating were enjoyed by the youngsters while the grownups spent the time visiting. Mr. and Mrs. James Serassio and son, James Jr., were business visitors in Salt Lake City Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Charles Brimhall entertained enter-tained the Bridge club Tuesday. Present were Mrs, Richard G. Steele, Mrs. Carl N. Granning, Mrs. Carl Kanniainen, Mrs. Harold Har-old R. Barton, Mrs. Arthur Barney, Bar-ney, Mrs. A. M. Peterson, Betty Brimhall. Prizes went to Mrs. Steele and Mrs. Granning. Light refreshments were served. 'Mr. and Mrs. Frank Serassio of Salt Lake City, former residents resi-dents of Highland Boy, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Serassio Se-rassio Thursday. Sergeant Nick Bolic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bolic Sr., wrote recently. urn ne naa Deen transferred from Alaska to Vancouver, Van-couver, Wash., and expects another an-other transfer soon. He is "fine and getting along all right". W. H. Pool of Salt Lake City is visiting this week with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Addy. and Paula Marie ,of Omaha, Neb., have returned home to spend a few weeks with her mother, Mrs. George Badovinatz. Mrs. Patsy Trujillo and her children, Andy and Rosanna, returned re-turned home from Salida, Colo., where they visited Mrs. Trujillo's mother and other relatives. A sister sis-ter of Mrs. Trujillo, Andrea Vigil, returned with the family to spend a few weeks here. Among the men to join the armed forces of the United States is John Stenuga and Axel Strand, both of Highland Boy. They are to report at Fort Douglas June 5. George Smilanich and sons, Steve and Milan, and Pete Lov-V Lov-V erich were visitors Midvale Tues- Mrs. Milan Lukas and children, Catherine and Bob, and Mrs. Mary Radokovich of Superior, Wyo., were dinner guests of Mrs. Pete Loverich Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fenton and children, Jackie and Freddie, of Salt Lake City, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Steele Sunday. Mrs Anna Swenson returned home following a short visit with friends and relatives in' Eureka. Albert Rubalcava left Monday for an indefinite stay in Old Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Martinez and daughter arrived from Park City Friday to make their home in Highland Boy. Mr. and Mrs. John Ala of Salt Lake City were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Serassio. Sam Gavich returned home after af-ter a short visit with his son, Sam Jr., who is in service and stationed station-ed in San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Luhan of Old Mexico arrived Saturday to make their home here. |
