Most u them passed off lamely enough, Isit In some, notably the Thirteenth ward, there was considerable con-siderable turmoil, and at the pLict-named pLict-named it took till 3a.m. to-day to count tho vote for delegate. Hie greatest hone of contention at present seems to be over the county rt-cordershlp, rt-cordershlp, for which P.'U. Conner, Col. Page and ex -deputy registrar, H. S. McCallum are aspirants. Col. Pjge has served hi! party well, and It ts thought for a time that he was secure, but McCallum seems to have captured most ofthecity delegatcs, and as lie knotrs a thing or two ol the party tactics, both with regard to registration and voting, he has to le rewarded with a rich plum. Among the other offices F. U. Dyer It named as the most likely candidate candi-date for county treasurer. |
