From Connecticut. This morning Mr. B. L. Stayuer, recently arrived from Xew I-ondon, Conn., madu a brief call upon us. Hois a merchant and has ccme weal with tho intention of opening business and settling down iu this locality. He was accomiauled to our office by Mr. Arthur Stayner, of whom he is a distant relative. Our well known townsman is noted for his broad physical proportions, while the gentleman from Counec-'tlcut Counec-'tlcut is unusually tall, the length and width of the Stayner branch being thus adequately represented.
