Jn every place they have been received with open hands and loving hearts, have been royally treated, and nothing has U-en omitted to make their outing n day of joy and gladness. During the time that the veterans were at Ogden, last year, the undersigned under-signed committee invited the aged people of that city aud surrounding couutry to come to Salt Iake and partake of tho hospitality cfour citizens. We are now happy to stale that through tbu kindness of Vice-President Vice-President Holcotnb, of the Union Pacific Hallway, n free ride ha been tendered to all of the old people residing in Welvr County (o this city. The day named for tho Joyous event is Tuesday, July ISth. The management uf the excursion from Ogden is in the hands of a competent committee. Due notice or the time of their coming com-ing will be given In the new sparry. On tile arrival of t lie. excursionists they will be received by the Old Folks' Committee, who will arrange for their transportation from tho depot de-pot to the Exposition lulldiug. The Electric Itallroad Company- and Grant Brothers have tendered transportation for more than half of the number expected. With the assistance of wealthy persons owning carriage-) whom wo have nut been able to call upon, we hope to make up a pro cession of a novel character, worth v a ci ty of 50.000 people. We cordially Invite all the aged lcop!e of this city and county, seventy years old and upwards, to artlcipatc in this juful gathering. This invitation is extended Irrespective Irrespec-tive of faith, race or color. In order to render this occasion agreeable toall, it is requested that the old people orthis city and county coun-ty come to the building between the hours or land 111 a. 111., and we respectfully ask tin- Bishops and Clergymen to ec that their aged friends arc taken to and from the Exposition grounds. AH jiersons whose badges indicates thclrages nre entitled to ndo free on the street cars on that day. The following rules have been adopted to distinguish the different ages: Seventy to eighty, a red larfge; eighty lo ninety, a blue lodge; ninety to one hundred, n white-badge; white-badge; all centenarians will wear a golden star. These badges should be worn on the left breast, and all w bo wear them are entitled to every courtesy provided for their annual enjoyment both by the committee and all citizens. The lower floor of the Exposition Building will be reserved as a lan-qucthall, lan-qucthall, and none but (hose wearing wear-ing lodges will admitted. A limited number will Le admitted to the upper floor by tlcktt only. The management of the banquet ism the hands of a committee of I ladies, furnished by each wanl nf this city. Thu ladies assisting will v ear a blue ribbon, tied around the left arm, above the elbow.
