I Winter Roads I B BECAUSE the roads are impassable the public public pub pub- lic lie utilities commission has suspended stage line service between Park City Oily and Salt Sal I Lake and Coalville land and Salt Lake It would appear that these two Utah communities are snowbound in a country which boasts of mild winters Our winters are rare not so rigorous as the action acHon would suggest During the Jast few weeks a comparison of our temperatures with those prevailing in other sections of the country country country coun coun- try reflects favorably on U Utah iah weather But when we let it appear that c certain communities are arc practically isolated during the winter no amount of statistics will remove the impression that our winters are hard In th these se days of wide vide travel there is s no reason why any of our main traveled roads should be closed to traffic Snow fences and a a. little work in the winter would serve to keep these roads open This action is desirable for the reason that it would woul serve to remove a condition which counteracts the advertising which is being conducted in behalf of the state state- Our winters should be a climatic asset rather than a liability
