On a piece of parchment like paper, Ave feet wide and six feet hvs Jcch-es Jcch-es high, are written all the books of the Old Testament, forailog the design de-sign of a window in King Salomon's temple. No lines are used. Written Writ-ten words form the w hole design. The writing U very minute, but legible leg-ible to the naked ye. Ink of three colors was used, but prlnclpally blacklnk. It Is a very luClca'e piece of work, marvelous in Its way, and must have taken considerable time and patience. The work wtc executed by one David Roblnioo, apparently In a mood of religious fervor. Jfe was blind of an eye, and his manner of writing was to lie at full leDgth upon the floor, on his stomach, with his eye (he was near sighted) very near to Hie paper. He died some. twenty years1 age. Each chapter and Terse Is numbered. The writing writ-ing was running script, but each letter let-ter Is separate; nor are Hie letters much, If any, larger than a thirty-second thirty-second of an inch high. A'nr York |
