Supt. Owen L. Barnett was at the meeting and explained the salary sal-ary schedule and said the new pay rise would require at least a 2-mill levy on taxes to raise the amount approved by the board. President Reed Jones of the association as-sociation presided at the meeting and after a discussion of the new salary schedule explained to the group their pledges for the $2280 and $3880, which is being sought for by the Utah Education Association Associ-ation of the state. The entire group of teachers voted to stand by their pledges for the maximum of $3880 and Mr. Jones stated that a 5-mill levy on taxes would enable the district to meet this amount. The group also voted that when their contracts are sent out, today, to-day, that the school representative would collect all contracts and Place them in the hands of the President and secretary.
