Show (Paragraphs Of) (Interest . . . Lamar Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Phillips, is home from the service. He has been m the army approximately two years with 18 months of the time spent in the South Pacific, and the past few months he as been in Tokyo, Japan. Kent Child, son of !Mr. and Mrs-Arvil Mrs-Arvil Child, has been given his release from the navy and is home. He has been stationed at the Naval Na-val hospital at Long Beach. Calif., the past 18 months. Attending the district Legion and Auxiliary district convention at American Fork last Friday evening, eve-ning, were: Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer, Orland Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Chader. John Z. Sumsion is home from the service, spending a 30-day leave with relatives and friends in Springville. " ! i Fred Hansen flew here from California the past week to attend the wedding reception for his twin sister, Freda, who was married last Sunday. Mrs. Lamar Mason and children of Jackson, Wyoming, visited here recently at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Davis, East Third South street. Mrs. Janet Wetterich of Cedar-edge, Cedar-edge, Colo., arrived in this city Tuesday for a visit with her broth- 1 er and wife, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. j Lyall. Mrs. Carol Woodward of Salt Lake City visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allan, on Friday, the occasion being her mother's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Ferron left this week to make their home at LaSalle, Utah, for the winter. j Mrs. C. H. Childs has just returned re-turned from Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she spent 10 days, being called there On account of .the serious seri-ous illness and death of her brother, broth-er, T. H. Clark. Frank Gunnell of Los Angeles, Calif., is vicationing in Springville visiting his mother, Mrs. Charles Conover, and other relatives and friends this week. Mrs. Emma Alleman left the past week to visit her son. Lt James K. Alleman, on the east coast.' Mrs. Charles Turner, the former Lucille Oakley, is visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Oakley, while her husband is hunting pheasants in South Dakota. She came by plane from Indianapolis, Ind. Mrs. Eva Noyes of Hollywood, Calif., is visiting with her brother, G. Lowry Anderson, and other relatives and friends . in Springville- |
