We ' celebrated Thanksgiving ever j sMA WHITING I Uncoln School, 4th grade. ? - Thanksgiving Dance Hello everyone! Here I am again reporting for the Lincoln Fifth grade. This week I am going to tell you about our dance. We had a Thanksgiving Dance Tuesday afternoon. af-ternoon. On some of the dances, girls chose the boys and others the boys chose the girls. We had a very nice time. See you next week. NINA MADSEN Lincoln 5th grade Beautify Grounds We are beautifying the grounds around the Grant school. We wrote letters and sent them to the parents par-ents asking them to send any shrubs that they could spare. The 6th grade boys helped dig holes and hauled dirt for the new plants. We received more plants than we needed so we told the children to bring them in the spring if the other plants don't survive the winter. win-ter. Don't eat too much turkey. So long see you next week. LAMAR HANSEN Grant School. 5th grade. i- Baseball At Recess At recess we play baseball while most of the boys play basketball and 5 step football. Mr. Peay, a training teacher is on the opposite side of our gang and other girls on our side. He always hits them so far we are still running after the ball while he came in home. LENORE CRANDALL Jefferson School, 6th grade. 0 Here Again Well here I am again. This week isn't much of a week for school. We have three days school this week. Thanksgiving is coming and our teachers want to get rid of us. They want to get us full early this year. We have our border of turkeys upon the wall now. See you next week. KAREN OSTLUND Grant School, 5th grade, Honoring Miss Rowland On Monday, Nov. 14, Patsy Warren, War-ren, Val Sorenson and Mr. Turn-bow Turn-bow went to the library to help honor Miss Rowland. The next day Patsy and Val told the class about it. Miss Rowland is surely a big help to us when we go to the library. li-brary. Last Wednesday we cleaned up the school grounds and burned all the leaves. It looks much better now. PAULA HAYMOND Jefferson School, 5th grade. The Log Cabin In the northwest corner of Third Grade room stands a miniature log cabin. The logs are notched neatly neat-ly one cxni top of another, row on row. Mapleton School Fourth The Fourth Grade are making telephone directories. They have every student's name down and his phone number in alphabetical order. or-der. Sixth Grade The Sixth Grade are now making mak-ing pictures about their studies. They have pictures and maps about Egypt, the Nile river and the Mediterranean sea.
