Show Business Backlog Means Jobs At Remington Rand Remington-Rand, Inc., Stamford, Stam-ford, Conn., has a four-year backlog back-log of civilian business when war work ends, James H. Rand, president, presi-dent, announces. Heading the company's program pro-gram for postwar expansion is construction of a four-story laboratory lab-oratory in South Norwalk, Conn., to improve machines and equipment equip-ment for business. The laboratory will employ 300 technicians. Foreseeing a heavily increased demand for office equipment, the company intends to expand most of its plant facilities. Employment will continue at a high level for several years, the president states. |
