The program has made it possible poss-ible for the small farmer with 10 cows or fewer to have the service ser-vice of outstanding bulls and thus to make an improvement in the quality of his herd which might not otherwise be possible. Approximately 1400 cows were bred through the program during the first year of its operation, and although figures are not complete, com-plete, conceptions will average a-round a-round 58 for first service and 85 for two. Most of the activity has centered center-ed in Utah, Wasatch and Summit counties, with some in Sanpete and Weber.
