Simians, and Darrell A. Berrett, son of Mr. and Mrs. ranh A. Berrett, also of-this city. ! . PARTY HONORS - DEPARTING SERVICEMAN In honor of Carl Sanford, son . of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford, who recently joined the army, a family party was given at his home Monday evening. A nicely arranged dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brinton of San Francisco, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Max Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Heath, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bird and their families, the host and hostess and son, Glen and the guest of honor. The marriage took place in a double ring ceremony on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Sept. 4, in the Salt Lake temple, with immediate family members of the couple, including their parents and the bride's sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Marie Roach of Spanish Fork and Mrs. Fern Greenwood of Salt Lake City, witnessing the ceremony. After their marriage, they were honored with a wedding dinner at the Temple Square hotel with members of the wedding party in attendance. For the dinner, the bride wore a lovely navy blue suit with matching accessories. In her honor a nicely arranged trousseau tea was held at the home of the bride's parents Sunday Sun-day afternoon, with more than a hundred relatives and friends calling. call-ing. Beautiful flowers decorated the display rooms and soft music was played during the afternoon by the Misses Pauline Boyer and Norma Liechty. Sisters and a sister,in-law, including in-cluding Mrs. Norda Simkins, Mrs. Marie Roach, Mrs. Fern Greenwood Green-wood and Miss Virginia Simkins, were in charge of the serving. Both the bride and groom are graduates of the local high school where they were prominent in stu-dentbody stu-dentbody affairs. "Both are former students of the Brigham Young University. Mr. Berrett was recently given his discharge after serving three years in the Navy Air Corps. After a short honeymoon, the couple will reside in Springville, while Mr. Berrett continues his studies at the B. Y. U. 1 |
