Show METHOD GIVEN TO AVOID WAR "At the bottom of everybody's heart there is the feeling that if America and Britain stick together togeth-er our children and grandchildren will not have to fight another war like this," declares Vice-Admiral Sir Henry B. Rawlings, British Task Force Commander, now operating op-erating in the Pacific. The British Admiral repeated the pledge of his nation to send "everything we have" in the way of fleet units to the Pacific to see th war against Japan through to the end. He admitted he had a personal per-sonal score to settle with the Japanese Jap-anese and that the Japanese military mili-tary caste should be discredited with the Jap people. Everything that has happened since the end of the war against Germany confirms the declaration of the British that they are in the war against Japan wholeheartedly and without reserve. Neverthelss, the fa'cts do not impress anti-British Americans, who express doubt as to the intentions of the British and seem to be determined to cre-at cre-at and maintain suspicion and distrust dis-trust in- connection with our present pres-ent war ally. |
