A. president, pres-ident, wishes to announce that of the supplies available for P. T. A. school lunches prepared at the Teasdale store, south of the Fire Station, carrots and potatoes have been used up. If any one desires to contribute either potatoes or carrots, they can be brought to the Teasdale store. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. LADIES LITERARY TO MEET TONIGHT The Ladies Literary Club will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Salisbury. An interesting book review will be given and all members are urged ur-ged to be in attendance. JOVALTY CLVB ENTERTAINED Mrs. Clara Childs was hostess to members of the Jovalty club Friday night at the home of Eun-nice Eun-nice McKenzie. A hot luncheon was served early In the evening at small tables, ta-bles, following which bridge was played with prizes being won by Sarabell Stewart and Eunice McKenzie. Mc-Kenzie. Members present were: Carrie Jolley, Sarabell Stewart, Afton Palfreym,an, Louise Brown, Luell Best, Merle Packard, Lucille Packard, Mary Bird, Margaret Sumsion, Eunice McKenzie and Delia Dallin were guests. CRAGUX HONORED AT PARTY The Timpanogos Stake Relief Society Board entertained at a party in honor of Mrs. Ella Crag-un Crag-un at her home at 687 North Main in Springville Thursday afternoon. She was the former Timpanogas stake president. A fine program was enjoyed, games played, and refreshments served to the following ladies: Cora W. Atwood, Berniece S. Man-son, Man-son, Minetta A. Gamette, Jenny W. Johnson, Kate H. Jacob, Mary C. Neves, Annie R. Holman, Elizabeth Eliz-abeth Bullock, Vida Conway, Erma J. Swenson, Myla Cragun, Merll and Emma Ray Swenson. In conclusion a history of the Relief Society of Pleasant Grove from its first program in 1S5 6 till 1940 was presented to Mrs. Cragun. This book was compiled by the Timpanogos Stake Relief Society Board while Mrs. Cragun was president. She and her husband, hus-band, Edmond and family have recently moved to Springville to make their home. -I " i n ii n MRS. SPAFFORD HOSTESS TO LA JOLIE CLUB La Jolie club members were entertained at the home of Mrs. Helen Spafford Thursday night. Following a delicious luncheon served at small tables, bridge was played with prizes being won by Evelyn Boyer, Reva Roylance and Madge Crandall. Present were Fay Hansen, Harriet Har-riet Miner, Iris Orton, Ruth Miller, Mil-ler, Harriet Burt, Dona Whitney, Lucille Smith, Nathalie Oakley, Evelyn Boyer, Reva Roylance, and Madge Crandall. "UES VIVANTES" IS NAME OF NEW1LY ORGANIZED CLUB "Les Vivantes" is the title given giv-en to a new club of fourteen girls organized at a party held Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at the home of Bette Lee with Lucille Curtis acting act-ing as the assisting hostess. Luncheon was served at one table centered with Ted carnations. car-nations. The entire table was cleverly decorated in keeping with a Washington's birthday motif. Five Hundred was played with prizes going to Berniece Harmer and Florence Brammall. Officers elected were Lucille Strong, president; Lucille Jenkins, Jenk-ins, vice-president; Bette Lee, secretary and treasurer; and Florence Brammall, reporter. ' MARTIN CONOVER FETED AT BIRTHDAY PARTY In honor of Martin Ccnover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover, who was four years old, Tuesday, February 2 7, a birthday party was held at his home at two that afternoon. Games were played during the afternoon following which luncheon lunch-eon was served. Three birthday cakes beautifully decorated were presented the guest of honor as well as a host of other lovely gifts from his friends and relatives. rela-tives. LADIES HEAR BOOK REPORT At the home of Mrs. Helen Thorpe Thursday night a group of ladies were entertained with a book review of "Family Portrait," Por-trait," given by Mrs. Blanche Beal. Following the book review which was given in an interesting manner, refreshments were served serv-ed to Mrs. Ronald Thorpe, Mrs. Maurice Anderson, Mrs. Howard Maycock, Mrs. Leyon Bird, Mrs. Maurice Bird, Mrs. Naoma Bear-dall, Bear-dall, Mrs. Harrison Conover, Miss Zelma Thorpe, Mrs. C. E. Gggert-sen, Gggert-sen, and Mrs. M. W. Bird. (jeorge Washington Birthday Party Is Charming Affair A smart social event of the week was the George Washington birthday party given by the First Ward Relief Society in the First Ward Amusement hall Thursday night. Numerous flags decorated the large hall and entrance and a patriotic color scheme was carried car-ried out in other details. Approximately two hundred people enjoyed the nicely arranged arrang-ed program under the direction of Mrs. Hilda Cherrington and dancing that followed. President Leona Olsen welcomed welcom-ed the couples and she with Mrs. Cherrington, Mrs. Zelma Beard-all Beard-all and members of the Relief Society served refreshments in conclusion. Y.H.M. OLUB ENTERTAINED Friday, at the home of Mrs. Betty Sumsion, the Y.H.M. club enjoyed an afternoon party. A patriotic theme was employed employ-ed throughont decorations, and was served buffet style. The serving table was centered with pink and white sweet peas. Special Spec-ial patriotic favors were presented each member. Five Hundred was played by the following members: Yvonne Johnson, Marva Taylor, Jean Brown, Jean Richardson, Veryl Thompson, Reba Clark, Electa Cox, Maryn Johnson, and La Dean Henrichsen. LA JOLIE CLUB ENTERTAINS GUESTS At the home of Mrs. Nathalie Oakley, Thursday evening, members mem-bers or the La Jolie club feted their husbands at an entertaining party. Progressive Neighbor was played play-ed with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Spafford winning the prizes.
