Show W Mr. and Mrs. Chris Miller and family entertained at dinner at their home Sunday for Clyde Davis Dav-is of Salem and Lois Johnson of Mapleton. Ted Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Miller, recently had the privilege of visiting Cyrus E. Dal-lin Dal-lin at his home in Boston, according accord-ing to word received by his parents. par-ents. He was accompanied by Elder Grover of Rexburg, Ida., who is also servmg a mission in the eastern states. Mr. Dallin showed the missionaries his latest works, asked about a number of his old Springville friends and extended his greetings to them. Mrs. Henrietta Harmer left on Monday to visit relatives and friends in Los Angeles, San Diego, Die-go, and San Francisco, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird and daughter Joan of Midvale visited here Sunday with Mrs. W. A. Bird and other relatives. . . Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gunn and children of Salt Lake City visited visit-ed a few days of the past week with Mr. and Mrs. George Weight and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. John T. Burt and Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Crandall had as their guests the past week, Sgt. and Mrs. George CrandaU and Chief Warrant Officer and Mrs. Keith Crandall, of Salt Lake City. The boys are sons of Horace Crandall Cran-dall and nephews of Mrs. Burt and Mr. Crandall. Sgt. George Crandall is home on furlough after serving for 22 months in India and completing 65 bombing missions over Burma and China. He has been awarded the Purple Heart and several other oth-er awards for his services. |
