Show Top Midivestern Talent In Union Pacific Show c . s i- t , l. .. -" i i i ."jj Grace Nelson McTernan umana, iNeo., uec. i t rom the rich reservoir of musical and dramatic talent in the midwest, the Union Pacific railroad has drawn a notable group of artists for its new radio show, "Your America," which goes on the NBC network January 8 at 4 p.m. CWT through facilities of WOW. Nucleus of the weekly half-hour half-hour program will be a unique chorus and orchestra made up of Union Pacific employees and other semi-professional and amateur ama-teur musicians recruited from the Omaha area. Grace McTernan Soloist To train this varied group and mold it into a first-class musical unit, the Union Pacific has retained re-tained Josef Koestner, one of NBC's most popular staff conductors. con-ductors. Associated with Maestro Maes-tro Koestner is another outstanding out-standing midwestern conductor, Leo Kopp, director of the St.4 Paul, Minn., Civic Opera Association Asso-ciation and the Chicago Opera Company. Featured on the opening broadcast broad-cast of "Your America" will be the lilting soprano voice of Grace McTernan. daughter of a retired known as NBC's ace dramatic story-teller. Still another talented talent-ed midwesterner associated with "Your America" is David Lewis, who came to Omaha from Chicago Chi-cago as script-writer for the Union Pacific conductor. As Grace Nelson, she toured the Orpheum and Keith circuits from coast to coast until she gave up her career in favor of marriage to a Kansas City contractor. Griswold To Be Guest Sharing honors with Grace "Mc reman will be Nelson Olmsted, Olm-sted, gifted young actor who is Most distinguished guest on the opening program will be Gov.
