Show JAYCEES TO HEAR' REPORT ON WAR CONFERENCE Tickets To Be Drawn On War Bonds In Herald Subscription Drive A report of the war conference of the Utah State Junior Chamber of Commerce, held at the New-house New-house hotel in Salt Lake City September Sep-tember 4, 5, and 6, the display of awards won by the Springville organization, or-ganization, and the drawing for the two war bonds in the Jaycee subscription drive, will form the principal matters of business at the regular meeting of the Springville Spring-ville Jaycees this, Thursday, evening eve-ning in the Memorial hall, according accord-ing to Kay Johnson, president. An unusually large delegation of Springville club members were at the convention this year, and several will be called on for reports on the various sessions. W. Verl Whiting, chairman of the drive to secure funds for the Jaycees to carry on the project of sending the local paper to the boys in the armed services, reports that the city has been thoroughly canvassed and the second drive will terminate with the drawing for the bonds ' at the Thursday night meeting Residents of the city have given wholehearted cooperation co-operation and the drive has resulted re-sulted in a substantial sum being collected to carry on this war-time effort to provide the boys in far-distant far-distant places a means of keeping step with the progress of their home town and the doing of their neighbors and acquaintances. |
