Peterson of Provo Friday, December 20, in the Salt Lake Temple. Approximately 200 Attend Reception Honoring Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Curtis M. . CULTURAL ARTS CLUB ENTERTAINED Mrs. Mary Fillmore was hostess to members of the Cultural Arts club Wednesday evening. The poem was given by Margaret Mar-garet Peirce. A paper on "The Life of Helen Hayes," was given by Cora Ellis and a paper on "The Life of Catherine Cornell," by Aileen McKenzie. Musical selections included a piano solo by Joy Arrowsmith and a piano duet by Joy Arrowsmith and Mary Fillmore. Those present were Margaret Peirce, Delia Baxter, Ida Packard, Pack-ard, Naomi Peirce, Ruth Olsen, Aileen McKenzie, Cora Ellis, Zel-ma Zel-ma Thorpe, Margaret Christensen., Christen-sen., LaRee Alleman, Clara Har-mer, Har-mer, Elzina Laney, Lois Thorn, Elaine Crandall, Coe Straw, The-ora The-ora Peterson, and the hostess. Complimenting Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Curtis (the former Ada Stark) approximately 200 relatives rela-tives and friends offered best wishes wish-es and congratulations at a wedding wed-ding reception held Thursday evening eve-ning in the Mapleton Amusement hall. Attired in a beautiful white gown and wearing a corsage of roses, the lovely young bride was attended by her sisters, Clara and Ruby Stark, Rosie Bleggl and Leona Le-ona Young, as bridesmaids, and they wore pastel formals. Best man was Jim Elmer. Program numbers included a song by Roe McCurdy, Dick Con-over, Con-over, and Clarence Smith; a ballet dance by Marella Jensen; vocal duet by Glen HoIIey and Freeman Bird; vocal duet, Virginia and Genevieve Bird; reading, John Curtis, father of the groom; solo, Elmo Jensen. The program was under the direction di-rection of Glen Holley. The young couple were married Wednesday, December , In the Manti temple, and will make their home in Springville. At El Centro, Calif., a locomotive locomo-tive is reported missing, while a half-mile of track is stolen in New England. It seems a rather haphazard hap-hazard way to assemble a railroad. |
