Show ' Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Carlson, formerly of Sprine,ville, Utah, are now making tho r home in Lark. A number of Lai k residents visited the Utah stale fair this week. l Lark Notes J -r Mrs. Marie Peterson announces the marriage of her daughter, Clara McOmie, to Joseph Nell, sou of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Nell of Riverton. The couple was married at Heber on August 12, and plan to make their home in Riverton. Mrs. Peterson entertained enter-tained Thursday evening with a kitchen shower in honor of Mrs. Nell. Thirty-six guests spent the time at games and showered the honoree with gifts. Mr. and Mrs. David Peterson and children of Strevell, Idaho, are visiting Mr. Peterson's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Zelma Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Thomas attended the Brown-Kanios wedding wed-ding in Salt Lake City Sunday. Jay Gleason, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gleason, and Sher-rell Sher-rell Overson, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Overson, left Thursday to attend the University of Utah this year. They will live at the Emery Memorial house. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Turpin and children of Salt Lake City were guests of Mrs. Clara Turpin Sunday. A party will be held Friday evening at the Lark wardhouse m honor of the new officers of the Y.W.M.I.A. who are: Miss June Seal, president; Mrs. Bessie Bigler, first counselor; Mrs. Ger-aldine Ger-aldine Reed, second counselor; Mrs. Ruby Serassio, secretary. Teachers have been appointed and an active year is anticipated. Monday evening the Lark Relief Re-lief society held an opening social so-cial at the church. Program numbers num-bers included a reading by Miss Maxola Yates; piano solo by Ber-nice Ber-nice Anderson; vocal solos by Mrs. Geraldine Reed; and a talk on "Home" by Mrs. Jane Spend-love. Spend-love. Mrs. Dorothy Erickson composed and read a tribute to retiring officers. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Allen of Mesa, Arizona, were luncheon guests of Mrs. Bert Thomas Tuesday. Mrs. E. W. Gleason and Mrs. Fred Zahler were Sandy visitors Wednesday. |
