Show PHYLLIS WEIGHT ENTERS SERVICE Phyllis Weight of Springville, was sworn into the United States Women's Auxiliary Volunteer Emergency Service in Salt Lake City Friday morning and will remain re-main at her home -awaiting orders to' active duty, it is announced. Miss Weight graduated with honors from BYU this year, and received an A. B. degr in Speech. While at BYU, she was affiliated with Theta Alpha Phi, national honorary dramatic fraternity, and the BYU Dance Club. Miss Weight, who has been active ac-tive in speech circles at the university uni-versity ,will report for indoctrination indoctrina-tion at Hunter College, upon receipt re-ceipt of orders. Her orders will be sent from the headquarters of the Twelfth Naval District, San Francisco, Fran-cisco, California. She is the daughter of Ernest G. Weight, of Springville, and has a brother, Creed, serving as a fire-control fire-control man, third class, aboard the U. S. S. Baltimore. |
