Slowed up somewhat by the holiday hol-iday season, both teams were a bit ragged throughout the game, but made an interesting battle of it. Led by Ray Miller, who accounted ac-counted for 16 of the Springville points, the Red Devils were never nev-er headed throughout the game after starting off with a six-point lead. Captain Johnnie Savage, who has been ill, played his usual floor game and counted six points. Substitute Walker chalked up 5 points and played a good game. Tucker and Clegg, for Lincoln, with eight counters apiece looked best for Lincoln. The Springville Sophomores dropped their contest to the Lincoln Lin-coln Sophs after leading throughout through-out the first half, 18 to 25. Pal-freyman Pal-freyman was high point man for the losers. Box score for the main game follows : Springville G T F P Olsen, f 1 0 0 2 Johnson, f 1 3 2 4 Miller, c 7 3 2 16 |
