Show Final Pre-Season Game Will Exhibit One Of State's Best Teams Thrilling And Interesting Game Is Anticipated With Both Clubs Packing Plenty Of Speed And Deceptiveness Springville high school's Red Devils will face the touted Provo Bulldogs, one of the top teams in prc-scason play in the state, Friday night in the high school gymnasium, beginning at 7:30 p. m. The Friday night game will climax cli-max one of the most successful pro-season schedules for both teams and will test the potential title timber for the Red Devils, since the Provo club has already been conceded as one of the teams to beat in the state. Provo has defeated top teams in the state and has a rangy and clever outfit. out-fit. Springville has won games over Alpine teams with decisive scores and boasts one of its fastest fast-est and most capable scoring teams for several years. While the local team is not a rangy outfit, out-fit, it makes up for this deficit in speed and aggressiveness. Coach Christensen, who started out this year with six lettermen but no regulars from last year, has a heady squad, any five of whom can play capably together. Provo, coached by Glen Simmons, Sim-mons, one of Utah's top coaches always plays a nice floor game and packs plenty of offensive ability abil-ity as well as boasting a tight defense. The Friday contest should be a thrilling exhibition of fast-breaking, heads-up, basketball basket-ball at its pre-season best. Hoop fans should not miss this casaba event. While the visiting Provo club will be favored over the smaller Red Devils, an interesting battle is anticipated in the center posi- tions between Ray Miller, Sophomore Sopho-more Red Devil ace, and big Joe Weight, son of Ken Weight, once all-state Springville high school player. Both men have led their respective teams both in offense and defense, and should put up an interesting duel.
