Show MEN INVITED TO JOIN LEGION SHOOTS Pointing out that it is getting that time of the year when most men are interested in target practice, prac-tice, the Springville Rifle club, sponsored by the local American Legion post, extends an invitation to all men of the community, whether whe-ther affiliated with the Legion or not, to join them in this organization. organiza-tion. Regular shoots are held twice weekly, on Monday and Thursday, at about 6 p. m. Possibly the range most used is one near the A. W. Cherrington property on the east bench, which was recently initiated ini-tiated by the National Guard. There is, however, another range which many favor, near the Mar-cellus Mar-cellus Nielson property on the Mapleton bench. The target practice has proven an enjoyable sport and furnishes a type of recreation which most men ' will appreciate. It is hoped to build the rifle club into a really worthwhile worth-while organization with an increased increas-ed membership. Anyone desiring to join may get further details by contacting club officers, including Paul Frandsen, president; George Wright, vice-president; vice-president; Harry Pennington, secretary, sec-retary, or Michael Long, executive board member. |
