MOTHERS' STUDY CLUB HAS APPRECIATION MEETIXG Following the theme, "Appreciation "Appre-ciation of Springville talent," an especially interesting meeting was held by the Mothers' Study club Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Mae Fletcher. Mrs. Jessie Dalton read some of her original poems and Mrs. May W. Johnson, formerly of Springville, gave a group of her poems. Glen Law played some of his original musical compositions. In conclusion, luncheon was served to twenty-one members and guests. The next meeting will be held Friday at the home of Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Huntington. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Slater are this week announcing the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Dorothy, to Eldon Norris Dibble of Maple-ton. Maple-ton. The marriage took place Saturday, Satur-day, January 18, at Provo, with Earl S. Greenwood officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Athel McDonald were attendants for the bride and groom. Both attended the Springville high school and Mr. Dibble Is a member of the local unit of the National Guard, Company A, 115th Engineers. The young couple will make their home in Mapleton. Lowry Anderson, Mrs. Howard Maycock, Mrs. Ted Haymond Hay-mond of Springville, and Mrs. Marian Halliday, Mrs. George Young, Mrs. Claude Cardall, Mrs. Percy Anderson, Mrs. Ruell Jacob-sen, Jacob-sen, members; and to Mrs. Lucille Allan and Miss Gen Boshard, special spe-cial guests. LES VIVAXTES CLUB HAS THEATRE PARTY THURSDAY The Misses Francis Tuttle and Florence Brammall entertained members of Les Vivantes club at the home of the former Thursday night. An attractive and tasty luncheon lunch-eon was served from small tables early in the evening, after which the group attended the picture show. Attending were Annie Fox, Louise Hjorth, Enid Rowland, Bernice Woffinden, Lucille Averett, Aver-ett, Lucille Walker, Bette Lee, and the hostesses. FIDELITY CLUB HAS BRIDGE LUXCHEOX Mrs. Mary Clegg was hostess to members of the Fidelity bridge club at her home Thursday evening. eve-ning. Following the serving of the luncheon at small tables, bridge was played, with prizes going to Floss Cates for high score, Rose Roylance second. MILADY CLUB HAS PARTY WEDNESDAY Members of the Milady club were entertained Wednesday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Vivian Averett. vSewing and social conversation were enjoyed during the afternoon after-noon and a delicious luncheon was served to the following: Florence Beardall, Thelma Beardall, Bear-dall, Delia Whitehead, Ellen Erdmann, Erd-mann, Dorthella Dunkley, Marva Averett, Merle Curtis, Margaret Wing, Bee Beardall, and Mrs. Davis, Da-vis, Mrs. Fern Young, and Mrs. Norma Holmes were special guests. The next meeting will be held Wednesday, January 29, at the home of Margaret Wing. CLARA CHILDS HOSTESS TO JOVALTY CLUB MEMBERS Mrs. Clara Childs entertained members of the Jovalty club at her home Friday evening. At eight o'clock luncheon was served, after which bridge was played with prizes going to Luell Best for high score and the guest prize to Eunice McKenzie. Members present were Luell Best, Mabel Simkins, Lucille Packard, Merle Packard, Ann Stewart, Sarabell Stewart, Mary Bird, and Afton Palfreyman.
