Show with relatives and friends in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Erdmann were Sunday visitors in Springville, Spring-ville, coming to attend the funeral of Mrs. Mahala Bringhurst. D. A. Boyer of Salt Lake City, who is connected with the New York Life Insurance company, is visiting this week in Springville. He came especially to manage Boyer's Cash ' Grocery at Fourth East and Center in the absence of his brother, Charles, who is vacationing vaca-tioning in California. Mrs. Melissa Nay of Clearfield, Clear-field, Utah, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Brown Sunday. Mrs. Dan Copeland and little daughter, Diane, left Monday evening eve-ning for their home in Los Angeles An-geles after spending two weeks with Mrs. Copeland's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cate. Mrs. H. Lamar Weight of Salt Lake City, has been visiting here and at Payson during the' past week. Mrs. Bert Gill and son, John, of Bingham, returned to their home Tuesday following a week's visit in Springville with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cate. Mrs. S. L. Mendenhall, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Weight, and Naomi Na-omi Weight spent Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Condie and family in Salt Lake City. VISITORS Here and There Kenneth Boss of Garland, Utah, spent the past week in Springville visiting with his sister, Mrs. Cornell Cor-nell Jessee, prior to his departure to fill a mission in Brazil, South America. Miss Teddy Thorpe visited over the week-end in Salt Lake City. Harrison Conover, publisher of the Herald, and Mr. and Mrs. Kim-bal Kim-bal Larsen, attended the Forty-Third Forty-Third Utah State Press association associa-tion meet at the Hotel Newhouse in Salt Lake City Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. G. D. Kennedy spent several sev-eral days oT the past week at Mt. Pleasant, where Mr. Kennedy has just taken over management of a new drug store. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hoyle and children of Tooele, visited Sunday Mr. and Mrs. John Preston Creer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Creer and Mrs. Lucille Webb of Salt Lake City, were visitors Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Brockbank. . Mrs, L. E. Harmer is visiting with friends and relatives In Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grant, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest' Strong, Mr. and 'Mrs.' J. M. Sumsion, Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Cor-nell Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs. Deal Mendenhall, Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting, Whit-ing, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Haymond, Hay-mond, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Whiting, Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thorn, were among those from Springville who attended attend-ed the annual contractors' meet at the Hotel Utah last week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boyer are visiting in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Catalina Island, and other points of interest in California. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Dickson and Mr. and Mrs. Duard Jolley were visitors over the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ford. Mrs. Loraine Allan, the former Dorothy Gammell, left early this week to join her husband in Washington, D. C, where Mr. Allan is now employed by the Federal Security Agency. Mrs. Herbert Isom of Idaho Falls, Idaho, is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Rig-trup, Rig-trup, in this city. Earl Whitney, who has been working in Milford, returned home Monday in order to resume his studies at Brigham Young university. Mack Holley, who is attending a business college in Salt Lake City, visited over the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John I. Holley of Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. James Perry of Salt Lake City visited Sunday with Mrs. Nephi Straw of Springville and with Mr. and Mrs. Parley Perry at Mapleton. i |
