Show School Board Signs Contracts for Jr. High School Contract agreements totaling $555,600 for the plumbing, heating, electrical work, and the general contract on the new junior high school building were approved by the Ncbo School Board at a special spec-ial meeting of the board last week. The district clerk was authorized to sign agreements with Irwin D. Tolboe, Alex Mortensen,",, L. j. ; Guymon. Mr. Tolboe's company was awarded the general contract on a base bid of $642,600, with an alternate deduction of $233,000, leaving a net contract of $409,600. The plumbing and heating contract was awarded to Alex Mortensen with a bid of $164,500, with the alternate al-ternate deduction being $65,000, and the net bid $99,000. The contract con-tract for electrical work was signed sign-ed with L. C. Guymon, whose bid was $67,900, alternate deduction, $20,900, and net contract $47,000. Routine claims approved by the board at this meeting totaled $11,672.17. Other matters of busi- j ' ness were letters to be forwarded to member-elect John I. Holley of Mapleton, containing his notice of election and a report on county election returns, a consultation with school bus supervisor Merlon Bryson on transportation prob- ! lems, and an application from the ! Mountain Fuel Supply Company, ! approving space heating for the ' Springville high school. |
