Show Wedding Anniversary The thirty-ninth wedding anniversary an-niversary of Mr. and Mrs. George Carrigan of Union was observed, last evening with a family party at their home. Legion Auxiliary Members Favor Dies Investigation The annual membership party of the American Legion auxiliary attracted twenty-seven old and new members Wednesday evening even-ing to Sturm's cafe. Following seven o'clock dinner a petition from Congressman Abe Murdock favoring continuation of the Dies committee investigation of un-American un-American activities was signed 100. A joint meeting with Legion post No. 30 will be held sometime some-time next month, date to be announced an-nounced later, it was decided. Games followed business, with Mrs. W. L. Faddis and Mrs. Theo Chesler receiving prizes at bridge and Mrs. Ernest Chipian and Mrs. Pete Wilcox high score Bunco awards. Mrs. Mike Zamp-os Zamp-os was presented house prize. New members welcomed into the auxiliary were Mrs. Zampos. Mrs. Gus Alexion, Mrs. Wilcox, Mrs. Maude Deakin, Mrs. May Douglas and Mrs. LaMont Cos-grove. Cos-grove. Captains of the membership member-ship drive, Mrs. Mike Brisk and Mrs. Wayne Shelley, made arrangements ar-rangements for the dinner. Mrs. W. L. Faddis was membership drive chairman. 4 |
