Show On a Dollar Bill The design and inscriptions on1 our one dollar bill are taken from the reverse side of the Great Seal1 of the United States, adopted in June, 1782. The two Latin mottoes translated read "'He (God) favors, our undertakings" and "A new order or-der of things." The pyramid Is an unfinished one, emblematic of the unfinishedi republic. Above is an all-seeing eye surrounded by light, to indicate indi-cate the Diety. The other part of! the design shows an eagle holding an olive branch and 13 arrows. |
