Funeral services were held for Joseph Rodda, 52, who was born in Pemponds, Cornwall, England. Mr. Rodda worked for the United States Mining company, and later, lat-er, the Utah Copper company. He belonged to the Odd Fellows lodge. Dr. Arthur L. Beeley of the University of Utah was guest speaker at the parent-teachers association meeting at the Bingham Bing-ham high school. His talk on "How to Meet Life and Its Problems" Prob-lems" was followed by an open forum discussion. The school girls glee club gave musical numbers. Ten Years Ago This Week Oren Timothy, who served as town policeman for a period of two years, resigned the office to accept an appointment under county Sheriff Clifford Patten as a deputy sheriff in Bingham Canyon. James Householder was appointed member of the town police force. "Aunt Lucia", the Women's Civic club comedy presentation, in which George Dahlstrom had the lead, played two nights to capacity crowds. |
