Show Two Girls Named to Go To Girls' State in June The Springville American Legion Auxiliary will sponsor two girls to Girl's State this year, officers announced today. They will leave June 8 and spend one week at the TJSAC, Logan encampment, en-campment, returning June 15. Mrs. Floss Phillips is chairman of the committe which selected Miss Marjorie Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Miller and Miss Nadine Angus, daughter cf Mrs. Delia Angus, to attend. Both girls seniors next year, were highly recommended by school officials. The purpose of the annual Girls State is to give practical application applica-tion of Americanism; to instill and cultivate cultural ideals and a desire de-sire to follow in the paths affording afford-ing opportunity and the responsibility respon-sibility of true American citizens. When the girls return, they will give a report of their stay and experiences ex-periences at Girls State, at the Legion Le-gion Auxiliary meeting. Girl's State Girls ... j ' ' ' , . - . i ...
