Show PTA Meetings Set, ' Chairman Named By Centra! Council At an executive committee meeting of the Central Cffuncil of the Springville PTA Wednesday evening- of last week, at the home of Mrs. D. LaRell Johnson, president, presi-dent, with presidents and vice-presidents vice-presidents of the local units also in attendance, it was decided that PTA meetings the coming year, would be held every second Wednesday Wed-nesday from October to May. The elementary schools will hold their meetings in October, December Decem-ber and February and the high school in November, January, March, and May. The second Wednesday Wed-nesday of each month has been designated as "PTA Wednesday." All meetings are to begin at 7 p.m. to avoid conflict with other meetings or engagements which may come the same evening. The council is fully organized with Mrs. Johnson, president; Mrs. Joe Miller, first vice-president; W. W. Brockbank, second vice-president and school representative; Mrs. Clarence Deeben, third vice-president; vice-president; Mrs. W.' Max Alleman, secretary-treasurer. Chairmen appointed include: Adults education, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bartlett; legislature, Mrs. Betty Anderson; membership, Mrs. Frank Johnson; program, Mrs. Russell Blackett and Mrs. Joe Miller; Publicity and Historian, Mrs. Mae Huntington; Safety, Mrs. Max Alleman; civil defense, David Friel; health, Mrs. A- E. Eldredge; by-laws and procedure, Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Deeben; hospitality, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boyer; room representative, represen-tative, Mrs. Bert Gill; and juvenile protection, Mays Anderson, The PTA regional convention will be held at the Park school in Spanish Fork on Wednesday, August Aug-ust 31. |
