Show Polls Open 7 AJVL to 8 P.M.; Candidates Voting Places, Dists., Judges Listed One of the most important days of the year or in four years for that matter, will be next Tuesday, November 4, when every citizen in this city and Mapleton, will be expected to go to the polls and cast their vote for the man of their choice to l ill various governmental positions. The polls will be open from 7 a.m., until 8 p.m. and voting will take place at the following places: District 1. Will vote at the Brooksido School. Tho district includes in-cludes the section of town from Main street to the Drive Corral on the East Bench and from Fourth South to Seventh South taking in also Brookside. District 2. Will vote at the residence res-idence of Mrs. Julia Sumxion, 124 South Second West. The district includes west of Main street from First South to Seventh South. District 3. Will vote at the residence res-idence of Mrs. Retta Harmer, 190 West First South. The district in- . eludes the area w,est of Main street from First South to the precinct limits on the north. District 4. Will vote at the home of Mrs. Vera Perham, 271 East Third North. The district includes I all north of Second North, be-I be-I rvveen Main street and Fourth East. District 5. Will vote at the home of Mrs. Frankie Averett, 754 East Center street. The area includes all east of Fourth East from Second Sec-ond South, north to v the precinct limits. District 6. Will vote at the home of Mrs. Afton Palfreyman, 309 East Center street. This district dis-trict includes the area between Second South and Second North and between Main street ainl Fourth East. Republican Candidates On the Republican ballot will be the names of Dwight D. Eisenhower, Eisen-hower, for president of the United States; Richard M. Nixon, vice-president vice-president of the U. S.; Arthur V. Watkins, for U. S. Senator; William Will-iam A. Dawson, congressman; J. Bracken Lee, for governor of the State of Utah; Lamont F. Toronto for secretary of state; E. R. Canister Can-ister for attorney general; Sid Lambourne, state treasurer; Sherman Sher-man J. Preece, for state auditor; Phillip V. Christensen, district attorney; at-torney; Verl D. Dixon, 4-year county commissioner; Sterling D. Jones, 2-yr. county commissioner; Harrison Conover, state representative represen-tative from District Four. Mr. Conover. incidentally is the only candidate on either the Republican Re-publican or the Democratic ticket from Springville. On a separate non-partisan ballot, bal-lot, the names of Lester A. Waide, who is just finishing his 10-year term for the position of justice of the supreme court, will appear with that of George W. Worthon, a candidate for justice of the supreme court for a 10-year period. per-iod. Also on the same ballot will be the names of F. Henri Henroid, who is a candidate to succeed himself him-self in the position of justice of the supreme court of the state of Utah, to finish out the term left vacant by the resignation of George V. Latimer. This will be for a period of about 4 years to fill out the unexpired term. The name of Joseph J. Eppson will also eppear on the separate ballot, as a candidate also for justice of the Supreme Court of Utah to fill the unexpired term. Lien Law Voters are urged to take time to vote on the lien law. If the law is repealed, it means that the state will no longer be able to take a lien on the property of elderly people receiving "old-age pensions. If the law is not repealed it wilf remain a law that the state can take a lien on the property ; of elderiy people getting old-age pensions. |
