Show Girls' Softball Teams Formed Here; Game Set Monday Night Two girls' Softball teams have been formed here, according to John Roberson manager. The junior team is composed of younger girls who have not competed com-peted in the sport' before. This$ team will meet teams representing Spanish Fork, two clubs from Provo, and Orem on a home schedule sched-ule with the first game set for Springville Monday, July' 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the ball park. They will play a Provo club. The following follow-ing Monday they will play away from home. The other girls' team is composed com-posed of former players who have made outstanding records in soft-ball. soft-ball. The team includes Beverly Twelves, state's outstanding girl chucker, Margery Hinckley, hardhitting hard-hitting and standout first baseman, base-man, Joyce Henderson, Helen Seaman, Sea-man, Ruth Sargent Payne, Norma Mock and Ruth Childs. It is planned, according to manage Roberson, Ro-berson, to play several of the top girls' softball teams. Fans here are anxiously awaiting to see some top girls' 'teams play again here. |
