Show Family Attends Inaugural for Utah's Governor A host of family members from Springville joined other relatives & hundreds of friends in Salt Lake City Monday noon for the inagural of George Dewey Clyde, a native of this city, who became the tenth governor of the state of Utah. Mrs. Clara C.' Christensen, only sister of the new governor and her husband Dr. Ralph J. Christensen, came from LaMesa, Calif, for the ceremonies. From Springville were the governor's gov-ernor's brothers Wilford W. Clyde and Mrs. Clyde and Edward Clyde and their families who joined other brothers Grover and Harry and families in Salt Lake. Mrs. Phoebe Packard of this city, mother of the governor's wife, Ora and her sister, Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Condie and Mrs. Condie's, brother, Max Packard and wife and Rex Packard and wife of Beaver; Bea-ver; Mrs. Charles Straw and husband, hus-band, Salt Lake; and Mrs. Gott-i fredson and husband of Logan, all had places of honor at the inauguration in-auguration and reception in the evening. |
