Show GUV To Schedule Products Week; Will Adopt Seal mously on record Tuesday evening, September 12, at their regular monthly meeting of setting a week in October as Greater Utah Vallcv products week. LeGrand Jarman chairman of the Agricultural committee com-mittee of Greater Utah Valley Inc., and also a representative of the Farm Bureau, announced the program which had been worked out by his committee. The directors were enthusiastic in giving their full support. Some provisions of the program, date and details of which will be announced later, includes in-cludes adoption of a Greater Utah Valley seal which would be a trade mark for Greater Utah Valley products which meet the specifications specifi-cations that would guarantee a high quality product,, agricultural and otherwise, produced in Utah Valley. The public relations committee reported progress on a series of radio programs to be conducted in cooperation with the high schools throughout the state which will encourage the development of local talent and point up topics of civic I progress. Leo Hansen, chairman of the new plants and industries committee reported that a pamphlet citing the highlights of industry would be off the press in a very few days and it would be distributed to potential po-tential industries with the possibilities possi-bilities of expanding industry in Utah Valley. Dale Despain and Henry Roberts reported on the progress of the Central Utah project, and stated that a great deal of interest had been stimulated by an article written by Mark Anderson on the subject. Glen Turner, who is making a movie for the organization reported re-ported on his progress and showed segments of the film which has been developed. A. D. Gibson, vice-president, presided and conducted the meeting. |
