Show Damaged Power Lines Cost City $I400; Reward Offered; Engr. Goes Over Creek Springville city officials were this week offering a $50 reward for information leading to the apprehension appre-hension of the person or persons, who "maliciously ana purposely snot, aown nign tension ten-sion power lines last Saturday between be-tween 6 and 7 p.m., this side of the rifle range. The vandalism cost the city approximately ap-proximately $1400, the cost of power which had to be purchased at peak prices being $1200 and damage to wires about $200. This too, in addition to so much money which the city has to spend for flood control this year. Persons apprehended in such acts of vandalism van-dalism are libel to a $299 fine and six months in jail or both, city officials of-ficials pointed out. A warning is also ' given boys with BB guns and their parents. City officials point out that it is unlawful to shoot BB guns within the city limits and a fine may also be metted out to offenders when caught. The army engineer has been in Springville the past week and in company with Mavor Clyde went over the Hobble Creek situation. , He said that work will soon begin be-gin on the creek bed on which approximately ap-proximately $40,000 is to be spent improving the channel.
