Show Springville Host to Region Three at interpretive, Drama Festival April 5, 6 Springville high school will be host to Region Three, representing B high schools from Lehi on the north to Nephi on the south, at an annual Interpre- tive and Drama Festival next. Tuesday and Wednesday, April 5" and 6. The one-act plays, a part of the festival, will be presented Tuesday Tues-day evening at 7:30 p.m., in the high school auditorium and the public is invited to see them without with-out charge. On Wednesdayi the contest work in radio speech, pantomime, humorous hum-orous readings, dramatic readings and story telling will be carried on throughout the day in classrooms. class-rooms. ' Six winners including two plays will be selected to represent the Region in the state festival which will be held at the Brigham Young University April 8 and 9. Springville will enter a number of students in region competition in the various phases of the contest con-test and a one-act play comprised of the following cast: Jeannette Dougall, Sharon Althouse, Clark Palfreyman, Sergie Nelson, Jone Spalding and Lyle Maynard. Directing plans for the festival are Principal Paul K. Walker of the high school, Eli Tippetts, Grant Clyde and David Gledhill of the dramatic art and speech departments. |
