Nielson have i! enjoyed the company of her sister 5n and her husband Mr. and Mrs. W. a7 e Christensen of Farmington, NeW Mexico, over the weekend. $They came here especially to attend at-tend conference in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mr.s Reed Larsen have received word of the birth of a new grandson born to their daughter daugh-ter Melba Brinkerhoff and her husband Reese Brinkerhoff of Salt Lake City. The new baby has one brother. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wing are the grandparents of a new baby girl born to their daughter Lois and her husband J. Reed Hansen. Her birthday was March 17 and she has one sister." . Mrs. Royal. Binks, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Binks of Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Zina Dibble Dib-ble of Mapleton were in Salt Lake City Sunday to visit Royal Binks who was in the St. Marks hospital with a hip injury he sustained Thursday at Geneva. Royal is employed em-ployed in the transportation department de-partment at Geneva. He was standing between two tracks watching one train go by on one track when a car which had been bumped onto a spur, broke loose and came back on the other track, striking him on the hip. He was rushed to the St Marks hospital for treatment and it was necessary neces-sary for him.. to remain several days. He was released to come home Tuesday. The new Mapleton J.C. officers held their first meeting at the home of president Mary Carnesec-ca. Carnesec-ca. Color captains which were chosen cho-sen were Louise Schwartz. LaRue Bird, Wanda Gibbs, Marian Roun-dy Roun-dy and Irma Sayer. Mary Bleggi was chosen as historian. An Easter party was planned for Friday, April 8. The following babies were blessed bless-ed this month in the Mapleton ward: Dale T. Marchant, baby son of Joan Thorn and Kenneth Mar-chant; Mar-chant; Terry Bryan Tew, baby son of Colleen Tew and Fred Robinson. Rob-inson. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Tew; and Kathy Ann Rominger, baby girl of Shirlene Bird and Claud Rominger. Rom-inger. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bird are the maternal grandparents. ' Visitors at the L. A. Nielson home have been Mrs. Lois Peterson Peter-son and her daughter Roberta of Alamosa, Colorado. They have spent several days with the Niel-sons Niel-sons while their folks have been attending general conference in Salt Lake City. . Alc Carwin Beardall is home on a fifteen day leave from the Davis-Monton AFB of Tuscon, Arizona. Ari-zona. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bird Beardall. Martin E. Oakes of Portland, Oregon, has purchased a building lot east of the Bird Beardall home and has commenced the construction construc-tion of a new rambler type home there. Mr. Oakes is a brother of Mrs. Beardall, and has been in the building and construction business bus-iness for years. He will build his own home. |
