Show t Funeral Services He'd for Mother Of Local Resident Funeral services were held' Saturday Sat-urday at Annabella, for Mrs. Annie An-nie Christiansen Christensen, 94, mother of Mrs. LymanMellor of this city, who died Thursday morning morn-ing at the Mellor home of ailments incident to age. Burial was at the Annabella cemetery. Mrs. Christensen was born in Herlensker, Denmark, April 26, 1860, a daughter of Hans and Ma-lana Ma-lana Neilson Christiansen. At the age of 9 years she came to Utah with her parents, converts to the LBS church. They lived in Eph-raim Eph-raim and in Richfield. She was married to Niels Peter Christensen, January 24, 1882, and ' Mn. Annie C. Christensien lived for about two years in Richfield Rich-field then moved to Annabella, where they spent more than 60 years. They pioneered that part of the country and took active part in church and civic affairs. With her husband, Mrs. Christensen celebrated cel-ebrated their golden wedding day in Annabella. Her husband died in September, 1933. Mrs Christensen came to this city in 1945 and had made her home with her daughter here since. She was the mother of five sons and daughters. Three children died after they were grown and theie are two daughters living, Mrs. Mel-for Mel-for and Mrs Eldred (Atella) Nils-son Nils-son of Salt Lake City; also a sister sis-ter Mrs. Stena Jensen of Central; 14 'grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. |
