Show Mapleton News A well planned closing social was held for the Relief Society Tuesday afternoon commencing at one o'clock. The music department was in charge with Senate Mendenhall Men-denhall acting as chairman and was assisted by Norma Cox and Phyllis Mendenhall. "The Good Old Summertime" was the theme carried out in the program and in decorating the stage and long tables at which lunch was served first. Following lunch a splendid program was given with Phyllis Mendenhall acting as M.C. Alma Whiting gave a violin solo; a tribute trib-ute to the visiting teachers was given by Marva Whiting; a humorous hum-orous stunt was presented by Marge Groneman and Merrel Cox; reading, Helen Campbell; characterization, charac-terization, Phyllis Mendenhall; solo by Judy Wiscombe and solo by Orpha Dee Johnson. Gladys Parry, Ethel Jensen and Blanch Tew were in charge of the serving, Approximately 69 women were present. i |
