Show Pretty Reception Honors Newlyweds Following Temple Rits at Manti Lovely in every detail was the wedding reception recep-tion of the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Glade Binks. In a beautiful setting of candelabra and pink and white gladioli tney reueiveu ran-gratulations ran-gratulations from friends andrela-tions andrela-tions Wednesday evening in the Springville Third-Ninth LDS ward church. Glade and his bride, the former Collette Palfreyman, exchanged vows the day previous at the Manti LDS Temple where President Presi-dent Anderson performed the marriage mar-riage ceremony. They were accompanied accom-panied to the temple by Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Murdock, where Mr. Binks and Mr. Murdock acted as witness to the marriage. Collette is the pretty daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Palfreyman of Springville, Spring-ville, and Glade is the son of Mrs. and Mrs. Norris -T. Binks of Mapleton. The attractive bride in a gown of bridal' satin with long sleeves and high neckline accented with a wide bertha collar. She carried a bouquet of pink and white glads with knotted streamers caught with stephanotis. Her veil of sheer illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls. Artistically contrasting with the pure white of the bridal gown were the pastel hues of the attendants' at-tendants' frocks of organdy. Anita Miller, a sister of the bride was matron of honor and the bridesmaids brides-maids were Bonnie Bate, LaRae Fietkau, June Thorn, LaRae Stalling, Stal-ling, Marjean Cook, Sharlene Senior and Janet Harmer. They carried tiny colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations. Alma Jensen was best man. Others in the receiying line were parents of the bride and groom, Mrs. Palfreyman wearing a wine colored gown with sequin trim, ana mis. emits in DiacK lace and marquisette. Both wore corsages cor-sages of white roses. Stevie Murdock in white and Susan Binks in pink were train bearers. 1 Mrs. Ed. Murdock attended the guest book. Receptionists were Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Binks of Payson and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Palfreyman Palfrey-man of Springville. Receiving gifts were Jenna Marie Palfreyman, Janet Rigby and Billie and Douglas Miller. In charge of the gift room were Mrs. Lawrence Clark, Mrs. Eldon Ash, Mrs. Clyde . Beardall, Mrs. Vesper Diamond, Mrs. Axel Danielson and Mrs. Ronald Beardall. Fqjming a centerpiece for the serving table was a beautifully with a double wedding ring and bells with pink and white candles on either side. Pouring were Mary Wing and Shirley Russell and guests were served by the girls of the Novelty Circle Club of which the bride was a member. ! Background music was furnished . by a string trio consisting of Mrs. Lewis Bird, Jane Harrison and Betty Hoover. Lynn Hanks was master of ceremonies, and Blair Binks and Connie Parkinson of Salt Lake City were ushers. Taking part on the program were Helen Ash, Edna Nielson, Freeman Bird and Glenn Holley, Judy and Carol Ann Barker, June Thorn, Iris Dibble and Jean Smith, Mrs. Ruel Jensen toasted the bride and Bishop Welby Warren, the bridegroom. Bishop Theron Hall gave the opening prayer and Ronald Macklev - offered benedic- I tion. , I The young couple left for a ! honey-moon trip through South- j ern Utah Canyons. The attractive j young bride was attired in a grey linen suit with white accessories. I They will make their home in -Mapleton and Glade will continue his studies at the Brigham Young University. |
